Brad Knowles

Brad Knowles first encountered Unix in 1984 on a DEC PDP 11/70 running BSD 2.9 while a student at the University of Oklahoma at Norman. He got his start as a professional Unix system administrator in 1989, when he went to work in the basement of the Pentagon for what was then the Defense Communications Agency (now DISA). Over the years, he has encountered and administered more versions of Unix and Linux than he can remember.

He is currently employed in the MomentumSI “advanced devops/cloud” business unit inside of the VMware Professional Services Organization. He also volunteers to help manage the mail system for python.org and is a member of the Mailman Steering Committee.

Brad has no idea what you mean by the term “spare time”.
