Solar Flares Can Affect Satellite Time

November 08, 2016 by Harlan Stenn

Dr. Tamitha Skov says on QRZNOW:

Direct Hit! NASA prediction shows the Earth-directed solar storm will hit us on November 9, but NOAA says it will hit on November 8. Either way expect amateur radio and GPS/GNSS issues starting around November 7. Aurora could be visible to mid-latitudes, with shows down to The Netherlands and mid-UK across the pond, Canada, & upper USA, like New York, Iowa, possibly even Colorado & Oregon! Expect storm effects to last through November 10.
