Taking stock of time

“You may delay, but time will not."- Benjamin Franklin

We offer our sincere thanks to all of the organizations and people who contributed and supported Network Time Foundation’s efforts to implement, develop and advance the Precision Time Protocol (PTP) and Network Time Protocol (NTP) Standards and projects over this past year. Your help has been fruitful and is greatly appreciated. Over and over again we all benefit from NTF’s work on time-related Standards efforts and NTF’s PTP projects and its Reference Implementation of NTP. We’re reminded on a daily basis of the importance of time. All of us work hard to maintain our schedules, checking constantly in the lower right-hand corner of our monitors or looking at our cell phones or other devices … and trusting that the time we see is correct!

NTF plays a major role in ensuring that the time on your electronic devices is accurate. Behind the scenes are innumerable people working worldwide to ensure that the longest running and one of the most important protocols on the internet today continues to be updated, maintained and secure. NTP - going strong since 1988.

NTF is the umbrella organization that oversees, supports, and increasingly funds many different projects related to developing and implementing time protocol standards and projects such as NTP, NTimed, PTPd, LinuxPTP, GTSAPI, NTS and others. All of these efforts are supported by worldwide volunteers (and very few part-time staff) and your kind donations.

Institutional members including Meinberg, VMware, Yahoo!, Microsemi, and others know the importance of Network Time Foundation and its efforts, and we thank them for their support. We look forward to continue to work with these fine organizations and many others in the coming years.

We also thank our volunteers, and individual members and donors. Your help is vitally important to ensuring the continuing success of NTF and its projects.

By making a donation today, you’re making a difference for tomorrow. Join or donate today!

For corporate matching donations we are registered with TechSoup and Benevity.

Contributions to Network Time Foundation, a registered and approved 501(c)(3) non-profit public benefit charity organization, are used to continue building NTP and other time-related Open Source Software projects. Contributions are eligible for tax-deductions in the USA.
